Delft-inspired Side Table

Handpainted solid wood side table.  It's one of two I acquired from someone who no longer wanted them - and gave some money to charity for them.  The base colour is a deep, rich midnight blue chalk paint and it's freehand decorated with a proud and characterful Delftware style cockerel, and subtle ageing paint effects to mimic a Delft tile.  I finished it with two coats each of clear topcoat and mellowing wax.
